Payments, bills, adjustments, expenses, and the accounting view can be opened for today, the current week, the current month, last month, or everything. The office is not rebuilding the week from receipts.

What is still open
Collection is a picture, not a stack of ledgers.
The school can see what was billed against what was collected this year, which classes still carry a balance, and which students to follow up first.
